
Bill Empey
Bill Empey is Managing Partner
at Prism Economics and Analysis. He has held executive positions at
mid-sized and large consulting firms for over 20 years. Mr. Empey
has secured faculty appointments at two Ontario universities, where
has has taught economics courses. He has also designed and delivered
economics courses for the Human Resources Professionals Association
of Ontario (HRPAO). Mr. Empey holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Boston College)
with a specialization in econometric analysis, as well as a MA in
Economics from Concordia University.
John O'Grady
John O'Grady is a Partner
at Prism Economics and Analysis. Prior to launching a full-time
consulting career in 1990, he worked for the Ontario Federation
of Labour, the Canadian Labour Congress, the International Confederation
of Free Trade Unions, the Ontario Public Service Employees Union,
and the Economic Council of Canada. Mr. O'Grady has prepared wage
arbitration submissions for several construction unions, and has
also represented a number of police associations in wage disputes.
During "social contract" negotiations, Mr. O'Grady was
an advisor to the Ontario Association of Physicians and Dentists
in Public Service. He has taught industrial relations courses at
two Ontario universities, and is the author of several published
articles on industrial relations and human resource management issues.
Mr. O’Grady has served as an executive member for various
research and social organizations such as the North-South Institute,
the Institute for Work and Health, ORTECH Corporation. He as also
served on a committee for the Centre for the Study of Living Standards,
and the editorial board for Canadian Business Economics. Mr. O’Grady
holds an MA in economics from the University of Toronto. Mr. O'Grady
runs an independent consulting practice, John O'Grady Consulting

Bob Collins
Bob Collins is a Partner
at Prism Economics and Analysis. He has a M.A. in Economics from
Dalhousie University and over ten years experience as a consultant
and business economist. Mr. Collins specializes in industry, policy
and economic analysis. He has extensive experience in the construction
industry, and has worked closely with the Ontario Construction Secretariat
since its inception.
Christine Newton
Christine Newton is an
Associate with Prism Economics and Analysis. She has a M.B.A. and
has completed program requirements to the dissertation stage of
a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management/Labour Relations from McMaster
University. She also has a Bachelor of Education degree and is a
member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Ms.
Newton's prior work experience includes positions as Lecturer and
Teaching Assistant - in computers, industrial relations, and human
resource management - at two Ontario universities. In addition to
her consulting work with Prism, Ms. Newton is the firm's web site
designer/administrator.
Claire Gregoire
Claire Gregoire is an
Associate with Prism Economics and Analysis. She has considerable
experience with the construction industry in Quebec, having worked
with the Commission du Construction du Quebec (CCQ) for an extensive
number of years. Ms. Gregoire has worked with Prism on a number
of other assignments for the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Cathia Badière
Cathia Badière
is a Senior Consultant with Prism Economics and Analysis. She has
an Undergraduate Degree in Economics at York University and a Master's
Degree in Industrial Relations from
the University of Toronto. Cathia's analytical and research skills
include an emphasis on Census and immigration data.
Sonya Tomas
Sonya Tomas has a Master's
Degree in Industrial Relations from Queen's University. Her experience
includes survey analysis with a focus on apprenticeship training
programs. In the past, Ms. Tomas has lead qualitative and quantitative
research projects at the University of Toronto and Queen's University.
Adam Cywinski
Adam Cywinski is a consultant with Prism Economics and Analysis. He has an Undergraduate Degree in Economics from York University, and is currently working towards an M.A. in Labour Studies at McMaster University. Prior to joining Prism, Adam worked as a Market Research Analyst with the Ontario Construction Secretariat. Adam’s construction industry experience includes providing analyses of construction market conditions, developing surveys, and conducting various research studies related many aspects of construction, including extensive work in the area of trades training and apprenticeship.
Sadiya Khan
Sadiya Khan is the Office
Administrator at Prism Economics and Analysis. Ms. Khan's previous
experience includes office and administrative responsibilities with
the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario.
